High School Senior Portraits

What a beautiful day for pictures! I met with Kyle and his family this morning at the Crocker Art Museum and we started taking his portraits right away! Kyle is an extraordinary and talented young man. He was recently accepted into the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with high appraises. And well deserving. I was fortunate to hear him play his French Horn during the portrait session and I was moved... Thank you Kyle, you are extremely gifted, good natured and of course handsome. You were a pleasure to work with. Enjoy your portraits... I couldn't find a bad picture in the bunch!

Maternity Photography

Last night my sister, her husband and I me at the Negative Space studio downtown for her maternity portrait session. We got some awesome photographs. Carmen Salazar was kind enough to help me with my lighting. I am new to using the Pocket Wizard and she set me up! Thank you Carmen! The pictures exceeded my expectations and I was thrilled to capture the love between my sister and her budding new family. I am so lucky to have them in my life. We are lucky to have such a wonderful family and I can't imagine my life without them. I can't wait to welcome little Aubrey into our life and of course I can't wait to take her newborn portraits!

My sister is having a baby!

What better way to celebrate my sisters motherhood than taking her portraits? I can't think of anything I would rather do. She looks so radiant and beautiful and I couldn't be more proud or excited. On top of being able to take her portraits, I got to feel little Aubrey move. What an amazing feeling. It warms my heart to know I am making my first connection with my baby niece already. I can't wait to meet her and hold her and spoil her! I can't wait to be an aunt for the first time.

Engagement shoot in beautiful old Folsom

As soon as I met Stephanie for the first time, I knew we were going to have a great time with her wedding and engagement pictures. She informed me that her fiancè played the guitar, so immediately I imagined Old Folsom for her engagement pictures. The night before the shoot was the first storm for the winter and we almost canceled. I suggested buying a couple umbrellas and feeling out the weather the next morning before we decided what to do. When I woke up the next morning it was sprinkling, but I knew the cloud cover could create rich color saturation so I suggested we go ahead with the shoot. We ended up getting the best of both worlds! Rain, fluffy clouds, blue sky and sunshine!

Thank you Stephanie and Gabe! You were so much fun, completely adorable and I didn't want to stop taking your pictures! Hope you enjoy your images!!!
